OK...this isn't to show you the horrible sunburn I got planting flowers yesterday, it's a sunscreen warning. Not that you should wear it or not. But rather if you apply it to your children and then they give you a hug...be prepared to walk around with a reminder of their *ahem* love for you until your own sunburn fades. Yes...that's a picture of Evy's handprint. I'm sporting 2 of them for the next few days.And though slightly embarassing, I can't help but love those little hands. :o)

That is one of the sweetest images -- and to me, a great metaphor. Our children are such gifts, aren't they? But eventually, their little handprints won't be on our arms or faces anymore. You can just hold them while they rest with you.
Especially in the light of sad events of this past week, this touched me.
