The day started out much different than typical Schoeb Christmases (they are usually a tummult of activity and holiday hub-bub). We woke and spent a peaceful morning. We went to Meijer to pick out some quick easy things for dinner (again, I resisted channeling my mom who would have me in the kitchen baking and cooking all manner of cookies and appitizers for the evening). Late afternoon the kids and I baked some cookies for Santa (and Daddy!)
Around dinner time we snacked and then opened our family gifts. It was slow and delightful watching the kids open and be excited and share in each other's excitement. Lovely.
(see the next post for the gift slideshow!)
