You've probably cut up the sheets and used them for cleaning rags at this point.
But did you try rubbing alcohol? It removes ballpoint ink. (Said the mother of The Artist.)
Did you take his favorite blanky or stuffed animal and write all over it with permanent marker?
That's what my parents did to my sister when she wrote on the seats of the van. (disclaimer: I don't endorse this parenting philosophy)
I hope he at least wrote something nice, like, "these are the sheets of my lovely sister"...right??
