Potter Park Zoo

Who knew East Lansing would hold a little piece of Minnesota within it's confines?
Ok. it's not exactly but it's like my own little Como Zoo. (ok...ok....without the super cool conservatory, but it's Michigan, who are we kidding?)

~ANYWAY~
We had a blast. But a zoo is always better seen in pictures.

The highlight of our trip was definately the mandrells (the monkeys with the colorful noses and *ahem* bottoms) The little one would bounce around the glass playing with Evy and Henry but when they got too close or looked like they were having too much fun, the big Dad would come over and smack the glass warning my kiddos to get back (which they thought was super funny).

here's a shot of big daddy.

look closely and you'll see the baby mandrell taunting Evy

This is the big daddy monkey smacking at the kids on the glass.

We were close to the lioness!

We got to spend the lovely day at the zoo almost completely emptied of visitors. We hung out with Jeremy and his girlfriend Jenn. SO MUCH FUN!

My kids pretending to be monkeys.

Henry was eager to start exploring.
